Bad Diet and Exercise Habits
Your diet and exercise habits play a huge role in your overall health, and it can negatively affect your hormones as well. Diets high in sugar have been shown to cause or exacerbate Low-T, and failure to stick to an exercise regimen can have the same effect. For keeping testosterone levels high, we recommend high intensity interval training (HIIT) 2-3 times per week, and a diet high in healthy fats and protein. Aim to get all of your daily carbohydrate allowance from whole grains and vegetables. Bad Drinking Habits
Indulging in an alcoholic beverage or two every once in a while is not going to hurt you – but watch your alcohol consumption. When you drink, your liver processes the alcohol and releases compounds that decrease your ability to produce testosterone. While this is usually a temporary effect of being drunk, it can become a long-term problem if you drink alcohol regularly.
Bad Sleeping Habits
Not getting enough sleep will affect every facet of your life – including your testosterone levels. Your body produces most of the testosterone your body needs while you are sleeping. If you are getting enough shut-eye, your body will produce much less testosterone than normal.
